I gave my hand a pencil and it did a thing.

So whenever I see people’s ideas for ‘an original Zelda game’ it always seems to be just Link genderbent or Zelda saving Link, which are ideas I don’t personally like very much. I mean I’m all up for equalism and all that stuff, but just turning Link into a girl doesn’t really feel that imaginative. So I started thinking about what I would think of if proposed with the task of coming up with an original Zelda plot line, and this is it.

I’ve always really liked Malon, and I’ve always viewed her as quite a strong character. I think if a game was made based around her (perhaps she has to defend Hyrule whilst Link is galavanting around in ‘Majora’s Mask’), it would be pretty cool! She has a lot of openings for unique weapons, e.g the pitchfork and sickles (noted in the sketches) as well as a strong, fiery personality to boot. She’s used to using her strength, and she basically has the potential to become a hero (but still have growth). She’s not too different, and she’s not too samey. Personally I think this would be a pretty fun idea, and whilst not an actual Zelda plot probably a fun spin-off one. Either way I think I may develop this for fun in the future.

Hey, looky what I painted!
I’m pretty damn happy with this, considering I’ve never painted myself digitally before (made attempts, never worked), and the fact that the last finished realistic portrait I did of myself was during my GCSEs. (Plus whenever I try to draw myself in general) it goes wrong). Yeah. LOOKY MA FACE.Took around 7+ hours. Been working on it since 10 until around half an hour ago, non-stop (: I see now that I missed a little bit of rendering on the neck, but I guess I’ll change that later if it really bothers me.
I’ve listend to ‘You’re as Cold as Ice’ 82 times whilst painting this. Hm.

Doings drawings of my first (well second technically, but the first to have any thought put into it. Last one only lasted a day,) roleplay character, Delmeris. (A lot of traditional drawings came before this but I can’t be bothered to scan them xD). Think I’m finally settling on an appearance for her after all this time of trying to. :3
